Surving the Holiday Season in Style

ByEllen Tarnapolsky

With the holidays right around the corner, there is much to be excited about. But with all the gifts, food and family, there is also much to be stressed about. You can survive the holiday season without your own style taking a backseat. With just a few tips, you can get through the holidays while still looking fabulous.

Before going on shopping sprees for everyone else, buy a few things for yourself first. Keep your eye on things that you especially want to wear for the holidays. Most stores always have amazing sales around this time of year. You can find things for as much as 25%, 50% or even 75% off. Go to a department store like Macy's or Nordstrom's, or H&M or the Gap. Those places always have great clothes to wear for the holidays, such as sparkly or beaded sweaters. Many people associate the holidays with sparkle, but don't make the mistake of being sparkly all over. One beaded or sparkly item is enough. A perfect holiday outfit would be a beaded sweater with a black pencil skirt and black shoes. Beaded sweaters also make excellent gifts, so consider getting wholesale women's clothing such as sparkly sweaters as gifts for your female relatives or co-workers.

If you don't already have a little black dress, then this is the time to get one. You can wear the same dress to many different events, and make it look like an entirely different outfit. You can wear it by itself, with a cardigan on top or with a beautiful blazer. You can wear it with high heels, or with flats for a less fancy occasion. If you can splurge, several different dresses of different lengths and fabrics. Get satin, jersey or even leather depending on the occasion. When in doubt of what to wear, the little black dress is always safe to fall back on.

Accessorize! Accessories are in full bloom in all the stores especially around this time. If you're more conservative and prefer simple diamond or pearl earrings, this is your time to let a bit loose with your accessories. You can wear a long pearl necklace and dangly bracelets with that little black dress. Or if you're up for a little more edge, shop for some bright colored accessories. A bright yellow bracelet, a multi-colored feather in your hair or a brightly colored scarf will definitely make a bold impression during the holiday season.

Don't forget hair and make up! Again, before you step out to do your shopping for everybody else, make an appointment to the salon and freshen up your look. Winter is a great time to rev up your look. Get some red highlights in your hair and a fresh new cut. Get your nails done with a bold red color. While you're there, make sure to get your eyebrows waxed and tweezed. Put on some shimmery eye shadow and red lipstick with your holiday outfit. This should definitely keep you confident whether you're the hostess or going out.

Get through the holidays in style. Whether it's make up, accessories or wholesale women's clothing, getting it in bulk will save you money. Get a few for yourself and give out the rest as gifts. Find wholesale fashion clothing and your other wholesale needs at wholesalefashionsquare.com.
